QRIXKUOR was born of flame and baptized in blood in the year 2011. Three years later, the ‘Consecration of the Temple’ demo was birthed, and soon sold out of its four cassette pressings. In 2015 came the Rehearsal 09/15 tape, which also soon sold out its initial pressing. With this momentum building, QRIXKUOR recorded their debut album during the winter of 2015. Fittingly titled ‘Three Devils Dance’, the three-song/39-minute monolith swarms and smothers, beguiles and buries, mesmerizes and metastasizes. Immersive to say the very least, QRIXKUOR create a soundworld where death metal is ripped asunder, from the inside out, and each tear reverberates endlessly into a nameless void, one after another. But, unlike so much ever-trendy “cavernous” death metal, there are RIFFS in abundance here; they’re just one part of the totality, one building block of the overwhelming, all-consuming atmosphere of beyond-the-shade dread and general foulness. And with a mixing & mastering job courtesy of Vassafor’s VK, every unnerving nuance and diabolical detail of ‘Three Devils Dance’ is rendered in a most malevolent manner, ensuring QRIXKUOR’s name will be in its ascendancy soon enough. As below, so above.
